Pastor Butch Gordon

Senior Pastor

Pastor Butch Gordon is graduate of Southeastern Seminary and has been in Pastoral Ministry since 1987, serving God’s church in Virginia and North Carolina.  Pastor Butch has been at Pine Ridge since 2019 serving as Interim Pastor and now as Senior Pastor. He is married to his wonderful wife Beth and has 2 adult children, Brian and Brooke, and 7 grandchildren.  Pastor Butch leads our church family at Pine Ridge as teacher, preacher, and equipper of the saints (Ephesians 4:11-16); believing that the best is yet to come to God’s Church! 

Pastor Jerry Kennett

Associate Pastor
​Minister of Music

Pastor Jerry hails from Union, South Carolina.  After graduating high school, he attended Presbyterian College where he received a Bachelor's degree with a minor in theater.  He grew up Presbyterian and pastored two churches.  He left the Presbytery and became a Southern Baptist in 1978.  He moved to North Carolina to work on a Master's degree at Southeastern Theological Seminary.  Pastor Jerry has now been in the ministry for over 40 years.  He is single, loves fishing, the great outdoors, especially the mountains and he loves dogs.  Pastor Jerry joined the staff of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in January of 2021 as our Associate Pastor and Minister of Music.

Reneé Sutton

Reneé Sutton has been a part of Pine Ridge Baptist for over 35 years.  She loves serving the Lord in what ever place He wants her and He has put her in a lot of places!  When she is not at church and even when she is, you will find her sidekick Roxie (her miniature dachshund) with her.  Roxie goes everywhere with her except to our Church services.  Reneé loves spending time with family and friends.  Reneé also stays at night with one of our beloved members Ms.  Joyce.  God has blessed her beyond measures and she loves the church family and being able to serve God along beside all of them.

​Born and raised in Pine Ridge Baptist Church. I have a passion and love for the lord.  I love working with children and teens. I hope I can show the love of Jesus to everyone I meet.
